The CAP 07 | Head-up Displays and Enhanced Vision Systems provides guidance for HUD and EVS intended for installation and operational use in aircraft engaged in international air navigation.
General Aviation operators (CAR OPS 2A or CAR OPS 2H) do not require approval for the use of these systems unless they are seeking an operational credit, such as a reduction in approach minima. An approval can be requested by submitting FORM SM 07 accompanied by any required supporting documentation.
For aircraft operated commercially under CAR OPS 1 or CAR OPS 3, FORM SM 07A must be submitted as part of the AOC approval process.
